Sharing in the glory of the world’s best athletes is a brilliant experience – whether it’s a record-breaking sprint, a personal best high jump, or a sub-2-hour marathon. If the 2021 Olympics (rescheduled from 2020) goes ahead, then it’s an experience even more people will enjoy this summer. But it’s also great to win when they win. So, here are the top 5 athletes to bet on this year.

Tebogo LETSILE – 100 Metres

The first of our suggestions is up and coming superstar, Tebogo Letsile. In February of this year, the Botswana runner set a personal best of 10.14 seconds whilst running at the national stadium. In addition to his, he managed to shake things up further by taking 6 seconds of the Botswana national record – thereby also beating the USA record (held by Anthony Swartz since 2017) by 0.01 seconds. He is certainly a runner people are keenly interested in.

Nicholas HOUGH – 110 Metre Hurdles

This 27-year-old Australian sprinter and hurdler are one to watch. Starting his career 11 years ago, at the age of 16, Hough won four gold medals at the Oceania Youth Championships in Sydney. Fast forward to the present, and he’s taking home bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games. He currently holds a 13.38 personal best for the 110-metre hurdles, and many commentators are placing him for 2021 success.

Maksim NEDASEKAU – High Jump

When it comes to the high jump, this 23-year-old Belarusian athlete is making a name for himself. At the European U20 Championships Nedasekau took home gold for his 2.33m performance. 2 years later, at the same event, he took home gold again. If his jump continues to improve as it has been, then 2021 is looking like it’ll be a successful year for this young man.

Juan Miguel ECHEVARRÍA – Long Jump

Since taking the gold in the 2015 Pan American Junior Championship for his 7.76m long jump, Echevarría has garnered a lot of attention. Three years later, at the World Indoor. Championships in Birmingham, he landed his second gold with his longest (unassisted) jump to date, 8.46m. He is currently ranked 2nd in the world and holds an 8.92m wind-assisted jump record – which he jumped in Havana, not far from his hometown of Camaguey, Cuba.

Patrick MANTHENGE – Half Marathon

The 23-year-old Kenyan runner recently took first place in the All-Japan Corporate Team Half-Marathon Championships, running an incredibly impressive 1:0012. This time was his personal best, and he also managed to shave off 6 seconds from the Yamaguchi course best – both of which have increased his profile and renewed the interest of the half-marathon world.

Athletics was the first competition in the ancient Olympics for a reason, it is incredibly rewarding in all of its forms. And, if you keep an eye on these athletes, then you too can be rewarded if you make the right bets at the right site – sites like Platin Casino and real money casino slots are a good place to start. Whether Letsile becomes the new Usain Bolt, or Echevarría ranks 1st in the world, these athletes are assured for 2021 success.
