Lisa Weightman has laid down a stunning performance in the 7 Sunshine Coast Half Marathon setting a new World Masters Record and Australian All-comers record with her 68:47. Weightman also took home $25,000 and a 13 second PB in one of her greatest ever career performances.

On the men’s side the in form, Jack Rayner was DQ’d from the race after apparently being sent the wrong way by an official.  That aside, it was still a great race from Kevin Batt to hold off Louis McAfee for the win in 1:04.12.

3. Ellie Pashley – 1:09:14

Japan’s Saeki Makino took out the Channel 7 Marathon in a new course record time of 2.16.17. On the women’s side another course record fell with Lydia O’Donnell clocking in a 2.41.11.
