Brandon Starc has continued his stellar form, this time by equaling the Australian high jump record of 2.36m on his way to winning in Germany. He now stands alongside the legendary Tim Forsyth who set the original record in 1997.

Starc recently jumped a personal best on his way to winning the Diamond League meet in Birmingham, but had his sites set on greater heights that he has now achieved in equaling the Aussie record. The question is now, can he topple the 2.36m barrier and jump higher than any Australian in history.

Starc who took home gold at the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast earlier this year now has the Diamond League finals and the Continental Cup to focus on and will no doubt be challenging for the top spot on the podium in each.
