Ryan Gregson has continued his strong late year form, winning the Sydney Harbour 10km last weekend clocking 29:31, to defeat local hero Ben St Lawrence by 8 seconds. Gregson just last month won his first Noosa Bolt title. He is racking up the wins on the road before the track season gets underway.  Gregson is no doubt building a tremendous base of strength, which will put him in good stead for the grueling and ultra-competitive 1500m and 5000m races that await him.

Olli Hoare has turned heads, again, this time smashing the Australian indoor 5000m record in Boston.  Hoare knocked a whopping 24 seconds off the old mark clocking an astonishing 13:09.96 for the win. The time also slashed 12 seconds off his old pb of 13:22.16.

De Castella – known worldwide as ‘Deek’ – beat the 12 year-old record of fellow Australian Derek Clayton by 16 seconds and launched a marvelous career. As one of the most popular recreational ways to keep fit, running has imprinted itself into popular culture in many ways. From the jaw-dropping performances that the world’s greatest runners have given us to substantial global audiences at the Olympic games to annual, consistent mega races like the London and New York Marathons, which brought together international runners from all creeds and cultures.
Most die hard track fans know of Asbel Kiprop.  The 2008 Olympic 1500m champ, and winner of three world championship 1500m titles (2011, 2013, 2015) is the third fastest 1500m runner of all-time with his 3:26.69 set in 2015. The controversial Kenyan was handed a four year doping ban when he tested positive to EPO in 2017. Kipop's ban is set to end in Febuary 2022. He has always maintained his innocence.
