As we close out our look back at the Best of 2010 we honor the Flotrack Athlete of the Year. From that beautiful night in Palo Alto, California and on through the season, Chris Solinsky never seemed to disappoint. After setting the 10k American Record in May by nearly 14 seconds, Solinsky went on to run the #2 fastest time by an American in the 5k and #4 in the 3k. He ranked in the top 10 in the World in all three events and was also only one of two athletes world-wide to break 12:57 for 5k three times. He also finished in the top six of all his races including three Diamond League meetings, with the exception one, showing some major consistency! Chris has turned a corner at a good time with the World Championships coming up this year and not to far after, the Olympic Games. He has showed us he is a contender and is not afraid to battle with the world's best. Looking forward to more from this guy in 2011!
