One of the greatest high school Cross Country runners of all-time, Dathan Ritzenhein won the Footlocker National Championships an impressive two years in a row. While attending the University of Colorado, Ritzenhein won the NCAA Championship in the 2003 and was the 5k runner up to Robert Cheseret.

In 2004, Ritz turned pro and went on to win the USA 12k Cross Country Championship and finished 62nd at the World Championships. He churned out personal bests of 8:11.74 in the two mile, 13:16 in the 5k, 27:35.65 in the 10k, 1:01.23 for a half marathon and 2:14.01 for the full marathon (ING New York City Marathon).
