Nikki Chapple wins the Marugame Half Marathon

Australia's rising distance star Nikki Chapple has slashed considerable time from her old PB in winning the Marugame Half Marathon. In doing so, she defeated defending champion Mara Yamauchi from the United Kingdom. The win marks a breakthrough for Chapple, in winning her first major half marathon title.

Chapple, the winner of the 2009 Great Australian Run, is without a doubt potentially the next big star of Australian distance running.

Australian fans can watch a delayed broadcast of the race using keyhole TV from 2:38 to 3:33 a.m. on Wednesday, February. 11th on Fuji TV.
